The formula to calculate the Twist Rate (TW) is:

\[ \text{TW} = \frac{\text{D}}{\text{R}} \]

Where:

Twist Rate (TW): The rate at which a projectile rotates, measured in inches per rotation.
Inches of Travel (D): The distance traveled in inches.
Number of Rotations (R): The number of complete rotations.

Let's say the inches of travel (D) is 30 inches and the number of rotations (R) is 5. Using the formula:

\[ \text{TW} = \frac{30}{5} = 6 \, \text{inches/rotation} \]

So, the twist rate is 6 inches per rotation.
