Formula

The formula to calculate the ISO Adjustment (IA) is:

\[ IA = \frac{ISO \times EV}{SS \times AP} \]

Where:

\( IA \) is the ISO Adjustment
\( ISO \) is the camera's ISO setting
\( EV \) is the Exposure Value
\( SS \) is the Shutter Speed
\( AP \) is the Aperture

Definitions

ISO Adjustment: A camera setting that controls the sensitivity of the camera’s sensor to light. Increasing the ISO number makes the sensor more sensitive to light, allowing for brighter images in low-light conditions.

Example

Let's say the camera's ISO setting is 400, the Exposure Value (EV) is 2, the Shutter Speed (SS) is 1/60, and the Aperture (AP) is 5.6. Using the formula:

\[ IA = \frac{400 \times 2}{\frac{1}{60} \times 5.6} \]

We get:

\[ IA \approx 8571.43 \]

So, the ISO Adjustment is approximately 8571.43.
