The formulas to calculate the Humidity Ratio (x) are:
1. \[ x = \frac{mw}{md} \]
2. \[ x = 0.62198 \cdot \frac{pw}{pa - pw} \]
Where:
A humidity ratio is defined as the ratio of the mass of water vapor in humid air over the mass of dry air in a body of air.
Example 1:
Using the first formula:
\[ x = \frac{0.02}{1} = 0.02 \]
Example 2:
Using the second formula:
\[ x = 0.62198 \cdot \frac{2000}{101325 - 2000} \approx 0.0125 \]
