The formula to calculate the Thread Percentage (TP) is:

\[ TP = \frac{EL}{OL} \times 100 \]

Where:

Thread Percentage: A measure of the proportion of the engaged length of a thread compared to its overall length, expressed as a percentage.
Total Engaged Length (EL): The length of the thread that is engaged or in use.
Total Overall Length (OL): The total length of the thread.

Let's say the total engaged length is 15 mm and the total overall length is 20 mm. Using the formula:

\[ TP = \frac{15}{20} \times 100 \]

We get:

\[ TP = 75 \% \]

So, the thread percentage is 75%.
