Formula

To calculate the Supercharger RPM (SCRPM):

\[ SCRPM = \frac{CD}{SCD} \times ERPM \]

Where:

\( SCRPM \) is the supercharger RPM
\( CD \) is the crank pulley diameter (in)
\( SCD \) is the supercharger pulley diameter (in)
\( ERPM \) is the engine RPM

What is Supercharger RPM?

A supercharger RPM is the rotational speed at which a supercharger moves when subjected to a given RPM and a given crank to supercharger pulley ratio.

Example Calculation

Let's assume the following values:

Crank Pulley Diameter \( CD \) = 7 inches
Supercharger Pulley Diameter \( SCD \) = 3 inches
Engine RPM \( ERPM \) = 6000 RPM

Step 1: Use the supercharger RPM calculation formula:

\[ SCRPM = \frac{7}{3} \times 6000 \approx 14000 \text{ RPM} \]

The Supercharger RPM is approximately 14000 RPM.
