To calculate the Standard Minute Value (\(SMV\)):

\[ SMV = BM + BA + MA + FA \]

Where:

\(SMV\) is the Standard Minute Value (minutes)
\(BM\) is the basic minute (min)
\(BA\) is the bundle allowances (min)
\(MA\) is the machine allowances (min)
\(FA\) is the fatigue allowances (min)

What is Standard Minute Value?

The Standard Minute Value (SMV) is a measure used in manufacturing and production to determine the time required to complete a task or operation. It includes the basic time needed to perform the task, as well as allowances for bundle handling, machine operation, and worker fatigue. Calculating the SMV helps in planning, scheduling, and improving efficiency in production processes.

Example Calculation 1

Let's assume the following values:

Basic Minute (\(BM\)) = 5 min
Bundle Allowances (\(BA\)) = 1 min
Machine Allowances (\(MA\)) = 2 min
Fatigue Allowances (\(FA\)) = 0.5 min

Using the formula:

\[ SMV = 5 + 1 + 2 + 0.5 = 8.5 \text{ minutes} \]

The Standard Minute Value is 8.5 minutes.

Let's assume the following values:

Basic Minute (\(BM\)) = 3 min
Bundle Allowances (\(BA\)) = 0.5 min
