The formula to calculate the drop chance is:

\[ \text{DC} = \left( \frac{\text{DI}}{\text{A}} \right) \times 100 \]

Where:

\(\text{DC}\) is the drop chance (%)
\(\text{DI}\) is the number of times the item has dropped
\(\text{A}\) is the number of attempts to get that item

What is Drop Chance?

A drop chance is a term used in video games to describe the rate at which a player will receive an item on average per number of attempts. The word “drop” comes from the saying that the items you get from killing a monster/unit are “dropped” by that unit.

Example Calculation 1

Let's assume the following values:

Number of Drops (DI) = 5
Number of Attempts (A) = 100

Using the formula:

\[ \text{DC} = \left( \frac{5}{100} \right) \times 100 = 5 \]

The Drop Chance is 5%.

Example Calculation 2

Let's assume the following values:

Number of Drops (DI) = 10
Number of Attempts (A) = 200

Using the formula:

\[ \text{DC} = \left( \frac{10}{200} \right) \times 100 = 5 \]

The Drop Chance is 5%.
