To calculate the Number of Shiplap Boards (\(SL\)):

\[ SL = \frac{TA}{SLA} \]

Where:

What is Shiplap?

A shiplap is a group of boards that are used for covering walls and roofs, most often used for cladding. It provides a rustic and charming look to interiors and exteriors.

Example Calculation 1

Let's assume the following values:

Total Area of the Wall (\(TA\)) = 200 ft²
Total Area of the Shiplap (\(SLA\)) = 10 ft²

Using the formula:

\[ SL = \frac{200}{10} = 20 \]

The Number of Shiplap Boards needed is 20.

Example Calculation 2

Let's assume the following values:

Total Area of the Wall (\(TA\)) = 150 ft²
Total Area of the Shiplap (\(SLA\)) = 8 ft²

Using the formula:
