The formula to calculate the Runoff Volume (RV) is:

\[ RV = \frac{RA \times RF}{12 \times 7.481} \]

Where:

Runoff Volume (RV): The volume of water that runs off a surface after a rainfall event.
Total Runoff Area (RA): The area over which the rainfall is collected.
Total Inches of Rainfall (RF): The depth of rainfall over the runoff area.

Let's say the total runoff area (RA) is 1000 ft² and the total inches of rainfall (RF) is 2 inches. Using the formula:

\[ RV = \frac{1000 \times 2}{12 \times 7.481} \]

We get:

\[ RV \approx 22.32 \text{ gallons} \]

So, the runoff volume is approximately 22.32 gallons.
