The formula to calculate the Qp/Qs ratio is:

\[ QpQs = \frac{PBF}{SBR} \]

Where:

Qp/Qs Ratio: The ratio of pulmonary blood flow to systemic blood flow, used to assess the balance between the two circulations.

Let's say the total pulmonary blood flow (PBF) is 5 L/min and the total system blood flow (SBR) is 4 L/min. Using the formula:

\[ QpQs = \frac{5}{4} \]

We get:
