What is Prevalence?

Example Calculation

Let's assume the following values:

Total Number of Cases (TC) = 500
Total Population Size (TP) = 50,000

Using the formula to calculate the Prevalence Rate:

\[ P = \left( \frac{500}{50000} \right) \times 100 = 1\% \]

The Prevalence Rate is 1%.
