Calculate Muscle Force

Formula

To calculate the muscle force (\(MF\)):

\[ MF = \frac{m \times g \times D1}{D2} \]

Where:

What is Muscle Force?

Muscle force refers to the magnitude of the force exerted by a muscle, or group of muscles. Muscle forces are measured in units of Newtons (N). One Newton is equal to the amount of force required to accelerate one kilogram of mass at a rate of one meter per second squared (1 kg·m/s²).

Example Calculation 1

Let's assume the following values:

Using the formula:

\[ MF = \frac{10 \times 9.81 \times 0.4}{0.05} = \frac{39.24}{0.05} = 784.80 \text{ N} \]

The muscle force is approximately 784.80 N.

Example Calculation 2

Let's assume the following values:

Using the formula:

\[ MF = \frac{5 \times 9.81 \times 0.3}{0.04} = \frac{14.715}{0.04} = 367.88 \text{ N} \]

The muscle force is approximately 367.88 N.
