Lever Efficiency Definition

A higher efficiency indicates a more effective lever.

Example Calculation

Let's assume the following values:

Output Force (OF) = 300 N
Effort Force (EF) = 100 N
Mechanical Advantage (MA) = 4

Using the formula:

\[ E_{lever} = \frac{300}{100 \cdot 4} \cdot 100 = \frac{300}{400} \cdot 100 = 75\% \]
