What is Gas Station Profit?

Gas Station Profit is the total profit earned by a gas station from selling fuel. It is calculated by multiplying the average annual fuel margin by the total amount of gas sold in the year.

Example Calculation 1

Let's assume the following values:

Average Annual Fuel Margin ($AFM$) = $0.15/gallon
Total Gas Sold ($GS$) = 100,000 gallons

Using the formula:

\[ GSP = 0.15 \times 100000 = 15000 \]

The Gas Station Profit is $15,000.

Example Calculation 2

Let's assume the following values:

Average Annual Fuel Margin ($AFM$) = $0.20/gallon
Total Gas Sold ($GS$) = 150,000 gallons

Using the formula:

\[ GSP = 0.20 \times 150000 = 30000 \]
