Chicken Yield Definition

Chicken Yield refers to the percentage of edible chicken obtained from the total raw weight of the chicken. It is calculated by dividing the edible weight by the total raw weight and then multiplying by 100.

Example Calculation

Let's assume the following values:

Edible Weight \( EW \) = 800 g
Raw Total Weight \( RW \) = 1000 g

Step 1: Divide the edible weight by the raw total weight:

\[ \frac{EW}{RW} = \frac{800}{1000} = 0.8 \]

Step 2: Multiply by 100 to get the yield percentage:

\[ CY = 0.8 \times 100 = 80 \% \]
