To calculate the number of sod rolls needed (\(RN\)):

\[ RN = \left\lceil \frac{A}{SS} \right\rceil \]

What is Sod Coverage?

Sod coverage refers to the amount of area that can be covered by sod rolls in landscaping projects. Sod is pre-grown grass that comes in rolls or slabs and can be laid down to establish a lawn quickly. Knowing the number of sod rolls needed helps in planning and budgeting for landscaping projects.

Example Calculation 1

Let's assume the following values:

Area to be Covered (\(A\)) = 1500 square feet
Size of Sod Roll (\(SS\)) = 10 square feet per roll

Using the formula:

\[ RN = \left\lceil \frac{1500}{10} \right\rceil = \left\lceil 150 \right\rceil = 150 \]

The number of sod rolls needed is 150.

Example Calculation 2

Let's assume the following values:

Area to be Covered (\(A\)) = 2200 square feet
Size of Sod Roll (\(SS\)) = 15 square feet per roll

Using the formula:

\[ RN = \left\lceil \frac{2200}{15} \right\rceil = \left\lceil 146.67 \right\rceil = 147 \]
