The formula to calculate the Percent Dissociation (D) is:

\[ D = \left( \frac{C_d}{C_i} \right) \times 100 \]

Where:

Percent Dissociation (D): The extent to which a substance dissociates into its constituent ions in a solution, expressed as a percentage.
Concentration of Dissociated Species (C_d): The amount of the substance that has dissociated.
Initial Concentration (C_i): The original concentration of the substance before dissociation.

Let's say the concentration of dissociated species (C_d) is 0.5 grams and the initial concentration (C_i) is 2 grams. Using the formula:

\[ D = \left( \frac{0.5}{2} \right) \times 100 \]

We get:

\[ D = 25\% \]

So, the percent dissociation is 25%.
