The formula to calculate the Package Girth (G) is:

\[ G = (D1 + D2) \times 2 \]

Where:

\( G \) is the Girth
\( D1 \) is the Smallest Dimension
\( D2 \) is the Second Smallest Dimension

What is Girth?

Girth is a term used in shipping and receiving to describe 2 times the sum of the smallest dimensions of a package. For example, if the length and width are the smallest dimensions, they would be used in the calculation.

Example Calculation

Let's assume the following values:

Smallest Dimension (D1) = 10 inches
Second Smallest Dimension (D2) = 15 inches

Using the formula to calculate the Package Girth:

\[ G = (10 + 15) \times 2 = 25 \times 2 = 50 \text{ inches} \]
