Calculate Output Power (Po)

Formula

The formula to calculate the output power (Po) is:

\[ Po = Pi \times \frac{E}{100} \]

Where:

Example

Let's say the input power (\( Pi \)) is 100 watts, and the efficiency (\( E \)) is 80%. Using the formula:

\[ Po = 100 \times \frac{80}{100} \]

We get:

\[ Po = 80 \]

So, the output power (\( Po \)) is 80 watts.

Additional Example

Suppose the input power (\( Pi \)) is 150 watts, and the efficiency (\( E \)) is 90%. Using the formula:

\[ Po = 150 \times \frac{90}{100} \]

We get:

\[ Po = 135 \]

So, the output power (\( Po \)) is 135 watts.

What is Output Power?

Output Power (Po) is the amount of power that is produced by a system or device after accounting for its efficiency. It is calculated by multiplying the input power by the efficiency of the system. This metric is important in understanding how effectively a system converts input power into useful output power.
