M-Index Definition

The M-Index is a measure of the productivity and impact of a researcher's publications, normalized by the number of years since their first published paper. It is calculated by dividing the h-index by the number of years since the first published paper.

Example Calculation 1

Let's assume the following values:

Using the formula:

Step 1: Divide the h-index by the number of years:

\[ MI = \frac{20}{10} = 2 \]

Example Calculation 2

Let's assume the following values:

Using the formula:

Step 1: Divide the h-index by the number of years:

\[ MI = \frac{30}{15} = 2 \]
