\[ EV = MC + D + MI + PS - C \]

Where:

$ D $ is the debt
$ MI $ is the minority interest

$ C $ is the cash

Example Calculation

Let's assume the following values:

Market Cap (MC) = $100,000,000
Debt (D) = $20,000,000
Minority Interest (MI) = $5,000,000
Preferred Shares (PS) = $10,000,000
Cash (C) = $15,000,000

Using the formula to calculate the enterprise value:

\[ EV = 100,000,000 + 20,000,000 + 5,000,000 + 10,000,000 - 15,000,000 = 120,000,000 \]
