\[ \text{CARP} = \text{CA} \times \text{CD} \]

Where:

\(\text{CA}\) is the Carpet Area (ft²)
\(\text{CD}\) is the Carpet Density (lbs/ft²)

What is Carpet Weight?

Carpet weight refers to the total weight of the carpet based on its area and density. It is calculated by multiplying the carpet area by the carpet density.

Example Calculation 1

Let's assume the following values:

Carpet Area (\(\text{CA}\)) = 200 ft²
Carpet Density (\(\text{CD}\)) = 0.5 lbs/ft²

Using the formula:

\[ \text{CARP} = 200 \times 0.5 = 100 \, \text{lbs} \]

The Carpet Weight is 100 lbs.

Example Calculation 2

Let's assume the following values:

Carpet Area (\(\text{CA}\)) = 350 ft²
Carpet Density (\(\text{CD}\)) = 0.7 lbs/ft²

Using the formula:

\[ \text{CARP} = 350 \times 0.7 = 245 \, \text{lbs} \]

The Carpet Weight is 245 lbs.
