What is Bullet Travel Time?

Bullet Travel Time (BTT) refers to the amount of time it takes for a bullet to travel from the firearm to the target. This is calculated by dividing the total distance the bullet travels (D) by the average velocity of the bullet (V).

Example Calculation

Let's assume the following values:

Total Bullet Distance \( D \) = 1000 ft
Average Bullet Velocity \( V \) = 2000 fps

Step 1: Divide the total bullet distance by the average bullet velocity:
