The formula to calculate the assignment weight (ASW) is:

\[ ASW = \left(\frac{AP}{TP}\right) \times 100 \]

Where:

(ASW) is the Assignment Weight (%)
(AP) is the number of points given by the assignment
(TP) is the total number of points for the class

What is Assignment Weight?

Assignment Weight is the percentage value of an assignment's points relative to the total points available in a class. It helps determine how much an assignment contributes to the overall grade.

Example Calculation

Let's assume the following values:

Assignment Points (AP) = 25
Total Points for the Class (TP) = 200

Using the formula:

\[ ASW = \left(\frac{AP}{TP}\right) \times 100 = \left(\frac{25}{200}\right) \times 100 = 12.5 \]

The Assignment Weight (ASW) is 12.5%.
